After beginning his career as an award-winning agency writer, Frank Todaro transitioned to directing, teaming first with Bryan Buckley.
As part of Buckley.Todaro, Frank built a body of work including the highly acclaimed ESPN Sportscenter campaigns, widely regarded as the top television campaign of the 1990’s. Creativity Magazine called Buckley Todaro’s work “funnier than reruns of the Honeymooners.”
In 1997, Frank wrote and directed his first feature film, Above Freezing which was an official selection of the Seattle Film Festival, and in ‘98, began his solo commercial career directing memorable spots for Nike, FedEx, Budweiser, Snickers, American Express, Polaroid, Heineken, Southwest Airlines, and the highly awarded FX Networks campaign. During his career, Frank has garnered every major award in the advertising industry.
In 2002, Frank was one of eight directors invited to participate in the inaugural SONY Dreams showcase. His 4-minute film for that showcase, Devotion, went on to be included as an official selection of numerous film festivals including the Los Angeles Film Festival and the Austin Film Festival.
Frank joined Moxie Pictures in 2003 and has remained at the very top of the commercial directing world for over a decade. His most recent work includes successful campaigns for Geico, Verizon, Sony Playstation and Volkswagen, as well as a 2013 Super Bowl favorite for the NFL Network.
